Routine Footcare

Routine foot care services are basic care and maintenance of the feet, typically provided to prevent common foot problems or manage existing conditions. These services are often performed by podiatrists (foot specialists) or other healthcare providers, especially for individuals who may have difficulty performing such care themselves due to medical conditions, age, or physical limitations.

What does it Help Treat & What to Expect?

Routine foot care helps treat and prevent a variety of foot-related conditions, promoting overall foot health and preventing complications. Here’s an overview of what it can help treat and what you can expect during an appointment:

Nail Disorders:

  • Fungal infections (onychomycosis): Cleans and manages nails affected by fungal growth.
  • Thickened nails: Trims and thins nails that have become too thick or difficult to manage.
  • Corns and calluses: Removes or reduces thickened areas of skin caused by pressure or friction.
  • Cracked heels: Moisturizes and treats dry, cracked skin to prevent infections.
  • Athlete’s foot: Provides advice or treatment for fungal infections on the skin.
  • Reduces discomfort from pressure points caused by improperly trimmed nails, corns, or calluses.

  • Arthritis: Maintains foot health for those with joint pain or limited mobility.
  • Identifies and addresses early signs of infections, sores, or other issues that could worsen without care.
